How any idiot can become a programmer. Or. How I did it.

Yes you can be one too. Just follow these 9 easy steps to glory.

You're the local computer wiz. Everybody counts on you for any computer related task. You're the king of the (computer) hill (in your local area)

Now you're on a crossroad. You're done with some sort of school (whatever you guys got there) and you need to make an important choice that will reflect your life.

Step 1.

Don't learn more about programming. Learn something completely different. Because you want to show everybody that you're not just the computer geek. Since you're clearly doing something else.

Step 2.

When you've figured out that you have no business learning whatever you did. Go for a while in a corner and pout.

When you've done that. Find some course that teaches computers but not what people would ever guess you learning. Like graphic design, media, audio, video etc.

Step 3.

While struggling through all this crap (like the dumb person you are). Take a break and go overseas and find yourself. Even take some classes while over there.

This time off will do absolutely nothing. You will spend most of the time drunk and hitting on the local populous (unsuccessfully i might add).

Step 4

Come back home. With a clear head (from killing all those brain cells) and focus on finishing that stupid media/audio/etc course any way possible, since you've gone so far in that.

Step 5

When you've finished that course that taught you absolutely nothing. Get a dumb job doing dumb things. Since now you have a "degree/diploma" of some sorts. And people hire other people with those apparently.

Work there until you get bored and move to another job. Repeat as needed.

Step 6.

???

Step 7.

Now that you're working as a programmer, stumble through each task but while still learning a little bit each time.

You're probably working with a stupid language. Where any idiot can enter any combination of characters and create a program.

This helps you learn on the job. Since you don't know jack.

Step 8.

When you've learned a bunch (this is a very scientific unit). Quit the job and finally goto school to learn Programming.

Step 9

Profit!

My name is Gummi and I can not yet relate to this whole scheme. However I did find the text amusing.
