Insanity relieves stress (in my case).

After a wonderful week and a half with my daughter I came home and sat down. Not knowing exactly what to do. It was past dinner time so I just browsed my default sites to see if anything new had piqued the interest of the Internet.
But after an hour or so I still felt strange, disconnected if you will. Felt like I hadn't done something in a while but I didn't know what. Like some deep urge that was waiting to get out. (get your mind out of the gutter please)
And after getting back home from a friends house and seeing my headphones next to the sterio I realized what it was.
During this week and a half I had not listened to any music. Well not exactly, if you count the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song music.
For me, music is a stress reliever, and I think it is important that people take 5-10-15 minutes a day to listen to some music they like.
The music that relieves my stress I like is on the rougher side of things. Drum and Bass.
What I love about Drum and Bass, or the dnb I listen to. Is that it has a buildup and a drop. The track starts off with a baseline sound, builds up on it slowly until it reaches some sort of climax and then Goes Insane.
A great example is Noisia - Stigma. It even has two buildups. One that stops at 1:10 and resets and the second one dropping at 1:33.
You can even see this visually in this clip of the same song. Where someone is playing this song in Audiosurf. (quick Audiosurf tutorial, up means a slow part of a song, and down means a fast part of a song).
The drop is immense and it relieves so much stress and tension. Well in my case anyway.
For some of you this might be elementary stuff but I just realized how important this really is.
